To celebrate the holiday season, CHANEL showcases N°5 Parfum in a monumental bottle adorned with a soft dusting of snow. Applied by hand, this delicate veil of silk turns the legendary silhouette into a sculptural object, enveloping its cabochon in an icy whirlwind. A unique collector’s item that’s a product of meticulous craftsmanship. The flacon is housed in a white dipped-leather case, wrapped in a sleeve fashioned by a Maître d’Art using the time-honored technique of embossing.

Each of the 15 exquisite custom pieces is numbered and engraved.

In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel asked Ernest Beaux to develop a “woman’s perfume, with a woman’s scent.” The perfumer presented her with a visionary expression that made unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle chose the fifth sample and decided to call it simply N°5. Its singular composition, along with the austerity of the name and bottle, revolutionized the history of fragrance and has gone on to achieve cult status.
